During reinstallation on a client we had the error message: Setup was unable to compile the file DiscoveryStatus.mof The error code is 80041002
To resolve the issue and successfully reinstall the SCCM Config Manager Client:
- Open a terminal session with administrator privileges
- Change the directory to “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Policy Platform”
- Run mofcomp ExtendedStatus.mof
- Retry the CCM client installation
